Meet our Chief Pilot, Kevin, who does it all! He is a Certified Helicopter Flight Instructor, fixed-wing pilot, IA, and A&P Mechanic, He’s here to provide you with the best flight experience possible and expert instruction to help you master the skies.

Kevin Provost, proudly served his country as a U.S. Marine, his final assignment an H-1 Mechanic and Crew Chief. After his service, he completed his FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) and Inspector Authorization (IA) licenses and maintained the 1st Helicopter Squadron in Washington D.C. as a flightline mechanic. Kevin completed his helicopter flight training at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) and was a helicopter instructor at Beta Technologies.

Teaching Philosophy: Intuition, Precision & Awareness

Kevin is a highly experienced, intuitive, and patient instructor. He has taught across a range of helicopter platforms including Robinsons, Enstroms, Hughes, and Gimbals. Known for his ability to connect with learners of all levels, Kevin excels at building confidence and guiding students through learning plateaus. Matt has been passionate about helicopters since childhood, fulfilling his dream of flight as soon as he could afford lessons. His aviation journey began after serving in the 82nd Airborne Division, where he developed a deep respect for aviation and airborne operations. Starting in Robinson R22s, he has since gained experience flying a wide range of helicopters, from the Mosquito XE to the Sikorsky S-58. In addition to being a helicopter flight instructor (CFI-H), Matthew is also a fixed-wing pilot and a skydiving coach. His diverse background in aviation allows him to bring a unique perspective to flight instruction, blending safety, precision, and real-world operational knowledge.

Matthew believes in high-energy helicopter flying, always keeping the aircraft moving to maximize performance and enhance safety. George is a Certified Flight Instructor–Instrument (CFII) who brings focus, patience, and professionalism to his flight training. He earned his ratings while managing the demands of work, family, and flight school—an experience that shaped his disciplined and efficient approach to instruction. George enjoys working with a wide range of students—from those just starting out, to instrument trainees, to pilots pursuing their commercial rating—and takes pride in helping each one grow in skill and confidence.

Teaching Philosophy: Structure, Clarity & Confidence

George believes that learning to fly is both a technical skill and a mindset. His teaching style emphasizes structured progress, clear communication, and building confidence through repetition and explanation. With a calm and supportive approach, he tailors each lesson to the student’s pace while reinforcing strong fundamentals. Whether it’s VFR basics or IFR procedures, George’s goal is to ensure his students feel prepared, capable, and motivated every time they fly.

Caleb - Airplane Instructor

Caleb has extensive experience across many learning platforms and especially loves helping students improve their stick and rudder skills with a tailwheel endorsement. Caleb obtained the majority of his ratings at Monadnock Choppers while working full-time in construction. He understands the challenge of balancing work, flight training, and life, Now you will find him guiding others on their aviation journey with his trusty dog, Willie, as his co-pilot!

Caleb is currently also a seaplane instructor at Goodspeed Seaplane Academy and does part-time instruction with us.

Teaching Philosophy: Building Confidence and Skill

Caleb believes that every student learns at their own pace, and his teaching philosophy is centered on patience, structured skill development and maximizing the student’s investment. He emphasizes hands-on learning, ensuring that students develop muscle memory and intuitive control over their aircraft. His goal is to create skilled, confident pilots who are not only proficient but also have exemplary risk management and decision-making skills. Most importantly, Caleb wants his students to always maintain a passion for aviation and encourages them to constantly expand their skillset and experiences whether it is tailwheel flying, high performance/complex endorsements, or seaplane ratings.

Jim - Tailwheel Instructor

Jim is one of our part-time instructors. He has extensive flight experinece and owns several aircraft. We are partial to his Nanchang which you will frequently see doing flyovers or formation flights.

Jim can instruct in pretty much anything although his favorite is tailwheel training in the Champ. We frequently use Jim to conduct mock checkrides to prepare our students for their final evaluations.

Stefan

Stefan is a professional pilot who still enjoys teaching his art to new students. He works as a part-time airplane instructor and would be happy to guide you through your next rating or BFR!
