How long does it take to get your pilot’s license and how much can it cost??

For most student pilots, it typically actually ranges between 50 and 60 hours. Depending on how often you fly and the weather in your area, the average length of time it takes is between 6 months and 1 year. You must also study to pass a written exam.

There is a difference between the cost of getting a helicopter license and airplane license. For an airplane license, you can expect to spend between $11-16,000 on average. Federal aviation regulations (14 CFR 61.109(c)). For a helicopter license, you can expect to spend between $15-20,000 on average

Other factors that affect the cost of flight training.

  2. Flight School: The reputation, facilities, and amenities of the flight school can impact the cost.

  3. Flight Instructor Rates: Instructor rates can vary based on their experience and qualifications.

  4. Frequency of Lessons: The more frequently you fly, the quicker you'll progress, but this also means higher costs.

  5. Additional Costs: There may be additional expenses for ground instruction, study materials, and flight exams.

  6. Location: Flight training costs can differ based on the region or country where you're receiving training.

When can I redeem my gift certificate?

The best thing to do is to call ahead and work out scheduling with our pilot. He will review the weather forecast and provide you with an update if the weather is not looking safe enough. If the weather poses a hazard to your safety, our pilot will call you to reschedule.

Weather can be very dangerous. It can decrease visibility, cause the runways to be slippery, and pose other hazards such as lightning. Safety is the number one thing to consider in aviation. Too much turbulence can not only put you at risk, but it also does not help you learn very much during a lesson or take nice photos. After all, it’s better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, rather than the opposite!
